Scope of Work: Program Designer (Part-time Consultancy)
OneVoice mobilizes people who believe positive change is possible in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We empower grassroots activism and emerging leaders in Israel and Palestine—and their global allies—to achieve a future that is fair, just, and secure. Our vision is to move a critical mass of Israelis and Palestinians to reject the status quo and drive towards an equitable resolution to the conflict—in this generation.
Common Ground is a new 6-month program whose objective is to promote the emergence of the next generation of Israelis and Palestinians who believe in mutually beneficial cooperation as a pathway for conflict transformation. Through a multi-modal approach incorporating successful case studies and experiential learning via a small group project, Common Ground creates a model for shared hands-on public policy advocacy and developing projects of joint interest between Palestinians and Israelis. Participation in Common Ground will strengthen the development of the knowledge, skills, attitudes and networks that are essential for conflict transformation. The program will build impact and sustainability through supporting an alumni network and identifying and promoting engagement opportunities with partners in both Israel and Palestine.
We are hiring a Program Designer to design the pilot program. The contract will be for 125-150 hours over the course of 7 months (starting in December 2022). Much of the time will be front-end loaded. Supporting the OneVoice CEO and international team, the role of the Program Designer is threefold:
1. Take our pilot proposal to the next level. This includes refining program goals, developing curriculum, fine tuning pedagogy, staging the key components, identifying potential partners and educational resources in Israel and Palestine, and formulating the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) metrics for the pilot.
2. Develop options and recommend a plan for operating a US cohort for Common Ground, which focuses on the part of our mission to empower global allies for change. Increasing our US presence must help foster the sense of a larger global movement, while adding distinct value for US participants, and our organizational goals to connect changemakers in this space.
3. Develop a long-term vision – and/or at least potential components and criteria – for what Common Ground could become. Based on review and guidance by OneVoice, develop priorities and a plan, including, budget for the next 3 year after the pilot. Key criteria include sustainability, M&E design with clear 1 outcomes, and ensuring we cultivate an alumni network and opportunities for advanced training and participation beyond the first cohort.
